VegHeads - a 4-H Club

The Vegheads, a 4-H club of youth from 8-18 years of age located in Lehigh Acres, will start its 2014-2015 year in August. This year's projects will include: a Lee County Seed Library, entering plants into the Lee County Fair, installing a garden for a needy family, and an aquaponics project. The first club meeting is at 6:30 p.m., August 26 inside Veterans Park Recreation Center located at 55 Homestead Road South in Lehigh Acres. The club has a member limit; contact 4-H leader Karen Harty at (610) 530-8883 if you are interested in joining. The VegHeads are still in need of assistance with supplies. Items needed include a special refrigerator to store seeds, a food dryer, desiccant, a food sealer, bulk seeds and office supplies.
